LuPwn
v. LuPwned
v. intr.
Contraction of "LuPone"* and "pwn" (from the English "own").
1. To give an outstanding theatrical performance, often musical in nature.
2. To do something incredible onstage.
3. To create or redefine a well-known theatrical role in a particularly memorable, sometimes controversial manner.
4. To deliver a performance that makes an audience revel in open-mouthed awe at your un-frickin'-paralleled brilliance.

LuPone owns the show - whichever one she may be in at the time. My friend Courtney had a dream the night before we saw "Patti LuPone Gypsy" that she was starring in "The Lion King." Inspiration struck, and here we are.
